Finding Wealth collects, uses, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Know that we are collecting personal information and for what purpose.
• Give meaningful consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.
• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, with reasonable notice.
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at priv.gc.ca.

Finding Wealth is operated from Montréal, Québec and is subject to Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (commonly known as Law 25 or Bill 64), which modernized Québec's privacy framework between 2022 and 2024.

Under Law 25, in addition to the rights under PIPEDA, Québec residents have the right to:

• Data portability: Request that personal information be communicated to you or transferred to another organization in a structured, commonly used technological format.
• Deletion: Request that personal information be de-indexed or deleted where retention is no longer justified.
• Automated decision-making: Be informed when a decision based exclusively on automated processing produces legal or significant effects, and to request human review.

Finding Wealth does not use automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects without human oversight. AI-generated content (Horizon AI) is advisory only — see the AI Disclaimer.

Complaints under Law 25 may be directed to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Finding Wealth is not a bank, trust company, credit union, insurance company, investment fund, mortgage broker, or any other type of federally or provincially regulated financial institution. We are not registered as an investment adviser, portfolio manager, or financial planner under the Securities Act (Québec) or any other Canadian securities legislation.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is Québec's integrated financial sector regulator. Finding Wealth holds no AMF registration in any category, and carries on no activity that would require one:

• Securities and derivatives: we are not a dealer, adviser, or investment fund manager. We make no recommendations on securities, ETFs, funds, or derivatives, and we manage no portfolios.
• Insurance and financial planning: we distribute no insurance products and employ no financial planner within the meaning of the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services. The title "financial planner" is reserved in Québec and we do not use it.
• Money-services businesses: we hold no licence under the Money-Services Businesses Act, because we perform no currency exchange, funds transfer, cheque cashing, or ATM operation.
• Mortgage brokerage: we are not a mortgage broker. Payoff projections are educational illustrations, not credit offers.

Horizon AI is an educational tool. It is explicitly constrained from recommending securities, portfolio construction, asset allocation, or any tax, insurance, or mortgage strategy. Its scope ends at which account type to use (TFSA, RRSP, FHSA) — never what to hold inside it.

Finding Wealth is a read-only personal finance management tool. We do not hold, transfer, exchange, or process funds, and we do not deal in virtual currency. On that basis we are not a reporting entity under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), and we have no registration, reporting, or record-keeping obligations to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

This analysis would change if Finding Wealth ever added funds movement, currency exchange, custody of assets, or virtual currency handling. None of those features exist today, and adding any of them would trigger a full reassessment before launch.

Québec consumers are protected by the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c P-40.1), which governs contracts concluded at a distance (including online subscriptions). Key provisions that apply to Finding Wealth subscriptions include:

• You must receive clear disclosure of the total price, including taxes, before completing a purchase.
• You have cancellation rights for distance contracts in certain circumstances.
• You are entitled to a written copy of any contract within a specified period.

Nothing in our Terms & Conditions or Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to limit your rights as a Québec consumer.

Finding Wealth uses Supabase (PostgreSQL on AWS) and Vercel for infrastructure. Data may be stored and processed in Canada or the United States. AWS and Vercel are subject to applicable U.S. laws, including laws that may require disclosure to U.S. government authorities. We have no ability to prevent lawful government access under applicable law.

We do not currently offer a Canada-only data residency option. This is disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
